The WS2812B LED Panel with a 4x4 matrix and 16 RGB LEDs is the perfect choice for your lighting projects. Compatible with the WLED app, it enables stunning effects like an RGB clock utilizing the 12 LEDs along the panel’s edge.
The panel works with controllers such as SP105E, SP106E, SP107E, and SP501E, or you can create your own controller using GPIO pins on devices like the Raspberry Pi, Arduino, C3-Mini (ESP32), Teensy, or ESP8266. A 5V data pulse is required, which the C3-Mini easily provides, eliminating the need for a logic level shifter.
For stable power, Adafruit recommends using a 1000µF capacitor across power lines and a 300-500 Ohm resistor on the data pin. The WS2812B LEDs are B-version, featuring reverse polarity protection. The panel operates on 4-7V, with 5V being ideal.
With DATA-IN and DATA-OUT pins, you can chain multiple panels to create larger LED matrices.
